You probably saw all of these articles already but ... in case you missed any ... get comfy, pour a beverage and do some reading about Open Source CMSs in the news:

Drupal and The Future of News

Drupal 5 Minute booth

Tech writer Kurt Cagle from Open Source Pixels {cribbed article bio: managing editor of XML.com, lives in Victoria, British Columbia, and is beginning to wonder what happened to summer - Ed note: Ditto on the summer ;-)} offers a wide-ranging narrative about his experiences with Drupal, (including a name-check of Bryght/Raincity Studios) in his June 1, 2008 article. Well worth a read for his interesting historical and technical perspectives.

'Tis Sad But True…

Sitting around and chatting with my friends and colleagues here at Raincity about this next move for me is one thing, but to blog about it, speaking about it in a more public way, makes me feel like one of those folks hitting the retirement stage and announcing to the crowd, after 40 years working for the company, "I have enjoyed my time here, and now, I must move on to the next stage of my life…". This, after all, is true in essence, but is quite cliché.

I have been with Raincity Studios for the better part of a year now, and it just happens to be one of those times in one's life to say: time to move on.

Some Industry News...

CRTC Blocked and No More Wires!

Many of us at Raincity are busy this week with helping out and participating in the Drupal training workshop that we're co-producing with Bryght, while continuing with our client work.

All is going great at the sessions... sooo much Drupal my head is starting to spin, but spin in a really, really good way. Collectively, we're training and learning a lot. For me, I'm on the learning a lot wave, not having used Drupal too deeply in the past. Right now, we're in the middle of looking at the neat 'views' and 'contemplate' modules: Hot stuff!
