Raincity Radio Back On The Podwaves
BlogMicrophone Withdrawal
We've taken a little hiatus from the mic here at Raincity, but we're bringing it back!
This is the first of many podcasts that will be broadcast on RCS Radio where I will be traveling around this great city of ours in the Northwest, this tech-hub we find ourselves in, speaking with the many friends, colleagues and clients of the studio.
Bill MacEwen has been a client of Raincity over the past several months as we worked on his website for his new endeavor. He's a stand-up kinda guy and was superb to work with. WorkSpace, the 3000 square foot shared work environment in Gastown, recently opened its' doors for business and people are flocking.
Playlist module released
BlogOver the last little while I’ve been working on a playlist module for Drupal. Farsheed was also working on a playlist module. So we have combined forces and now present to you the fruit of our labours: The new, improved, ass kicking playlist module.
Features include:
- support for mulitple playlist formats, including xspf, m3u, pls
- podcastable playlists
- AJAX ordering of audio tracks
- multiple ways to add an audio track to a playlist
- For the geeks in the crowd, playlists are implemented as a new node type.
Farsheed has set up a nice demo site where you can go and kick tires a bit, but you have to sign up first to create your own playlists. Enjoy!
Eric Rice's Videoblog and Audioblog Roadshow Report plus Garageband Tutorial
Blog
What can I say. Eric Rice (blog, podcast, video) rocks! His enthusiasm for videoblogging and podcasting is infectious. Eric took a bunch of videos (waiting for Eric to render them and remix them in iMovie but that we have to wait since his Powerbook had a beer mishap at Gnomedex), photos and some audio and had a great time. And we got a great tutorial on how to use Garageband for podcasts (4.5 MB MP3 file, 19 minutes 30 seconds).
