In continuing coverage (otherwise known as "staying up with the Raincity crews' activities"), here's a recap of Bridging Media at the Great Northern Way campus (AKA The Hangar). The event was wrangled up by Megan Cole and Erica Hargreave with able assistance by RCS's KK and Bmann and the speaker roster included many of our Van-groovy eco-system.

Bryght World Tour 2007

Blog
created on 周四, 2007-08-02 11:22

This is a quick post to update customers, partners, collegues and friends of my upcoming travel schedule and the events that Bryght will be participating in over the next few months.

Gnomedex 7.0 - heading down to Seattle to see Chris and Ponzi and the rest of the uber-bloggypodvlogger digerati. Always one of my favorite events of the year. Seriously be ready to get your geek on.

Barcamp Vancouver - Vancouver's 2nd Barcamp. I'll be leading a PhotoCamp. 180+ people already registered. Hear me now, believe me later... don't miss out... this is a great grassroots technology and geek networking event.

Barcamp Beijing - the first ever Barcamp in Beijing. Scales and I are still pulling lots of details together but we have a date and a venue so the show *will* go on. :)

China Access 2008 - I will be presenting on Social Media and the Internet at this years China Access 2008 event for the creative services industries in Beijing.

Come to Web Directions North in Vancouver

Blog
created on 周三, 2007-01-03 12:22 Web Directions NorthI've been overdue in posting about the upcoming Web Directions North coming to Vancouver February 6-10th, but 2007 is upon us and it's just around the corner and I'm getting really excited.

The combination of amazing speakers, fantastic location, and after-hours events will make Web Directions North about as good as a conference can be. But the connections and friendships that you build there are what will make it even better. Here's the deal...

Everyone is gonna wanna move here after their visit! I'll be there for the event and the snowboarding and hopefully I'll lots of you there as well. :)

Gnomedex 6 Was A Hit!

Blog
created on 周五, 2006-07-07 04:48

Last week the Bryght guys went down to Seattle for our second Gnomedex in Seattle put on by friends Chris and Ponzi. We saw lots of our geek peeps and a great time was had by all. The event was keynoted by John Edwards who was there to make connections with the blogging community and hear and learn about technology (I got my pic taken with him by Ted Leung backstage... w00t!).

My favorite talks were by Ethan Kaplan and Philip Kaplan (not related). Ethan works at Warner Brothers Records and talked about the future of music and the sales/marketing/distribution machine that propels it. Phillip runs AdBright and started FuckedCompany and gave an engaging chat about promotions and building buzz.
