Dave Sifry:
- The web is not a library
- Old metaphor
- The web is a realtime global conversation (Roland's note: amen! Dave!)
Gatz of Yahoo
- Geeks/Early adopters are not Yahoo's audience, we can't make money off of geeks so we can't build in OPML syncing and attention.xml
- Roland's response: the geeks/early adopters are a big enough audience for Yahoo to make money IMHO

I don't get it
Dave Sifry talked about not re-inventing the wheel...but then used hCal? I'm confused. Why do we need an HTML-based display format? Isn't vCal something that works today, integrates into the desktop, and has lots of running code?
