As a parting shot to the festive period, I'll leave the tinsel behind with one last missive to recount the wintery wander I undertook with Father John's winter ale and worked our way on the rounds to interrupt the workflow of some of Vancouver's smartest and funnest folks.

On our rounds, we can across Dr. Alexandra Samuel of Social Signal is as fashionable as she is smart - a big picture thinker with a great sense of humour and, oh yes, you've seen her work.

Alexa Booth of Strutta, {one day the truth shall be revealed and the Strutta mystery will be told to all}. In the meantime Alexa keeps a tidy blog of her own sharing green-savvy lifestyle tips in Vancouver.

Ian Bell, a former pro hockey player in Europe (note to self, get him on Canucks Outsider podcast) and now working on a preference-based, music selection tool (among other innovations) as Something Simpler.

At our beloved Workspace, we ran into Ward Bingham the visionary artist behind Mondonation - along with his videographer posse. Also great to persoanlly thank the guys (Bill, Dane, Kevin) at Workspace for making me all the great beverages! Really, thanks for all that other stuff you do too.

The quest finished at Change Creative the new studio in process run by Vancouver artist Jeremy Crowle. Jer is as pure an artist as I've ever met. Anyone with the smarts to hire him for anything will be guaranteed of someone who bridges art and commerce with seeming ease and deft technique. Oh yeah, he made Matthew Good's new album cover.

Missed the AJAX superheros at nitobi - been trying to get a visit in since they moved down North Van to the the 'hood. Alas the beers didn't last 'til we made it to the Donat Group but we do issue a standing invite to come visit on Bar-b-q days.
