Briefly:

Originally hailing from the interior of British Columbia, Tylor Sherman arrived in Vancouver to pursue open source software while working on a degree at UBC. He was introduced to the Vancouver Drupal community by attending a few of the local meetups and ended up landing a job with Raincity Studios. Recently, Tylor has been working on the Mobile Muse projects and helping to revitalize the SMS Framework module.

Where/when did you first get online?
About 1998, Savona, when the internets were finally installed in rural British Columbia.

Yossarian from Catch 22.
Favorite techie word/acronym?
SCUBA – Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus.
Fave “analog” tool?
Shovel.
Favorite artistic era/movement?
1960s Swiss typography and design, modernism, Massimo Vignelli, Erik Spiekermann.
Your best tech skill?
Secret CSS guru mixed a good dose of PHP.
Country you want to visit that you’ve never been to?
United Arab Emirates, there are a lot of big things going on there.
Where’d you go to school? Why?
I am still a student at UBC and came here because I have always wanted to live in Vancouver.

Start breaking stuff.

FastCompany.com because I was amazed to be involved with such a large project.
What do you collect?
Shoes – mostly late 80s Vans, Adidas, and Nikes. Photography equipment.
One thing you would stop in the geek world?
Poor usability.
Favorite music?
Lots of early hip-hop and jazz, all the way to fresh indie and pop.
